The Night Run, Luxembourg 2011

Our regular visit to one of our favourite events will take place in June 2011. Indeed we have attended each of these races since its inception in 2006.

The fabulous Night Run in Luxembourg is set to continue its remarkable growth in popularity – and attract even more than the 10,000 runners who took part in 2010 – and the event always sells out.

The Night Run is a marathon, a half marathon or a mini marathon of 4.2K – the choice is yours. If you decide to take part in the full marathon you can switch to the half without a penalty – and this decision doesn’t have to be taken until the 10 mile mark!

The race is televised live in Europe and is watched by huge crowds with live music and bands dotting the entire course. The finish is a stunning indoor climax as you cross the finish line to the accompaniment of music, lights, dancers and a number of other surprises!

The route is fairly flat so a fast time is possible.

Non runners will be able to enjoy the delights of Luxembourg – the city is buzzing with music, food and drink and you’ll be able to watch your friends compete from the comfort of a street bar or restaurant – or from the indoor arena. We’ll be combining our visit with time to sightsee, a fine dinner plus time to look around the Grand Duchy.
