The Mid Sussex Burgess Hill 10k is the third and final race in a three race series which together comprises the Mid Sussex Marathon weekend. The other two races are the Mid Sussex East Grinstead 10 Mile and the Mid Sussex Haywards Heath 10 Mile.
You can run them individually - or take part in all three. If you take part in all three and run 26.2 miles you will receive a specially designed Commemorative Mid Sussex Marathon Weekend Medal.
Each race also features the Mid Sussex Mile - a 1 mile race for both junior runners and adults. It's ideally suited to those new to running.
All three races are held under UKA Rules.
Medals to all finishers plus finish line goodies - and there will be other events, attractions and entertainment throughout the weekend at all three races.
Photos from the event will be taken by Steve O'Sullivan Sports Photography and you can view their website here.
Baggage Drop Off
The race starts and finishes at Oakmeeds Community College. It is primarily off road following an undulating trail and pathway course in and around the town, using a traffic free route. The course would suit runners of all standards including those new to 10k races. Times in this race count towards overall series prizes for those completing all 26.2 miles over the three races.
Please note that the race is considered unsuitable for wheelchair athletes. If you have any questions about the suitability of the course for you then please call the Mid Sussex Marathon Weekend Office on 01797 229955.
St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by your electronic chip. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre. Presentations will take place approximately 45 minutes after the first finisher.
Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.
