I thoroughly enjoyed the experience: the scenery was stunning, the support from the crowds in the villages was uplifting, and there was plenty of camaraderie amongst the runners. Add to this the excellent organisation and post-race biscuits - I'd say Nice Work have a got a winner on their hands here.
I have entered a few runs now and just wanted to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the events and look forward to many more.
I am pretty new to running and these races encourage me to train harder and are a great introduction to running. I always find the atmosphere to be friendly and your team are always most helpful.
Excellent organisation, well-marked course, good snacks with the water at the end. I forgot about all of the delicious looking cakes in the registration hall though :-( Thanks to all the marshals en-route and the support of St Johns Ambulance.
The start/finish at the K2 running track gives both really good facilities pre and post-race and the chance to have your very own "Mo moment" battling for position in the last few hundred meters!
I was very impressed. On the day registration was quick & easy, with MANY very helpful volunteers. Chip timed. Marshals excellent throughout. Figure of 8 course, passing through the village centre half way, meaning opportunity for spectators to watch at start/mid-way/finish! Excellent atmosphere at finish and again, we'll organised like the whole event was. Well done to the organisers.
What I love about Rye is to hear the sea-gulls and to look at the pleasant view of the old fashion harbour. Maybe the fresh sea air just makes me feel good.
Rye 10k race is extremely well organised and I was more than pleased to see chip timing implemented into the race!
