This was my first ever half marathon race so I was a little apprehensive going into it, I needn't have been as the organisers and marshals were fantastic. The flow of information was good and there was kind of a festive feel to it all.
The race was just perfect. The route, the scenery, the atmosphere, its size, everything was just great.
Beautiful course and friendly people - I enjoyed every meter!
Talked into this by my brother who is a seasoned runner, so he, me, my other brother and both their wives all did the race. Great atmosphere, very well organised, beer and cake brilliant, scenery wonderful, marshals cheery and times up on the board immediately. Since then I have done another 10k a 10 mile and signed up for a marathon in October! You've got a lot to answer for Bruv!
It was a great fun day in horizontal rain in a near mud bath, dressed as ill fitting Santa. I came second to last, but wouldnt have it anyother way. What fun! I do hope they do it again next year. Great for beginners to up their mileage. Super happy marshalls and mince pies and Mulled Wine to finish. Happy Christmas! (oh and the medal is possibly the prettiest medal of my whole hoard)
Lovely festive fun run - with lots of costumes and smiles! Plus mince pie and Christmas pub at the end - who can argue with that!
First time I have run in fancy dress and I loved the effort people made. Lots of fun will be doing it again next year as it just makes you smile.
Mince pies, Christmas Pud and a Medal at the finish line :-) It's also nice and flat with PB potential.
Nice flat course, I was a wheelchair racer and they accommodated me beautifully. Nice bottle of wine and a Chrsitmas pudding thrown in, great Christmas spirit.
