Join Nice Work for this brand new series of events for the Peak District racing calendar. Managed by the same team that brings you the successful Tissington, Monsal and Carsington Water Half Marathons these events will give you the opportunity to experience the fantastic scenery of the Peak District. Taking place on the hard trails of the Tissington Trail, Monsal Trail and Carsington Water the routes would suit runners of all standards including those new to 10 mile & 10k races.
The Carsington Water 10k is the first race in a three-race series which together comprises The Peak District Marathon Weekend.
You can run them individually - or take part in all three. If you take part in all three and run 26.2 miles you will receive a specially designed Commemorative Peak District Marathon Weekend Medal.
Each race also features the Peak District Mile - a chip timed 1 mile race for both junior runners and adults. It's ideally suited to those new to running.
This 10k race takes place around the undulating, traffic-free trails surrounding Carsington Water Reservoir. The route offers stunning views of the Lake and surrounding Peak District countryside and both races are ideal as part of a Spring marathon training schedule.
Carsington Water is also an ideal family location and perfect for a weekend day out.
The race is brought to you by the same team that manages the Tissington Trail Half Marathon - which regularly features in the Runner's World top 10 UK trail races.

This is an undulating multi-terrain route using the paths and trails around Carsington Water. The route is an out and back course and you can expect some inclines along with sections that use the footpaths surrounding the reservoir.
The course has been measured using GPS but, because of its multi terrain nature, it cannot carry a certificate of course accuracy. The route will be clearly marked using large route arrows and directional cones, as well as being marshalled throughout. There may be the occasional walker and dog walker, so you should exercise care when running.
First Aid Ambtrans Medical Services will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep runner following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by your electronic chip. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre. Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.
