This brand new event for the North Kent race calendar is the perfect addition to the Spring Marathon training schedule. With 10k, 15k, 20k and 25k distances available using the popular lap format, this tarmac cycling track located within the Cyclopark facility near Gravesend provides a great opportunity to get some timed miles under your belt.

The races are great for Spring marathon training and for a speedwork session. The 2.5k lap circuit use the tarmac cycling track located within the Cyclopark facility near Gravesend. The self contained venue also incorporates plenty of car parking, great spectator viewing and refreshment facilities, toilets and changing rooms. The races are on a traffic-free undulating course and suitable for all abilities.

The Gravesend Cyclopark course uses the fast tarmac cycle circuit. The event will cover laps 2.5km circuit. The route will be clearly marked using directional cones to guide you around the course and at the extremities of the course there will be extra lighting to guide you around the circuit.
The route is an undulating but fast course with a couple of inclines to contend with, along with a long downhill section and covers the tarmac roads using the outer circuit of the Cyclopark. The 10k race will cover four laps with the 5k race covering two lap. Runners should be aware that although the majority of the Cyclopark is floodlit the extremities of the circuit are not. We will be providing additional lighting in these areas however you may wish to run with a head torch if you struggle to see in low light.
St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep runner following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by your electronic chip including lap times. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre. Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.
Getting there on foot and by bicycle
The main pedestrian entrance to the Cyclopark is either from the north of park is from the A227 Wrotham Road at Tollgate, just north of the A2 junction or from the south of the park via Downs Road, and the Ifield Court (Weald Way) and Church Road footbridges.
If you are travelling to the event by bicycle the National Cycle Route 177 runs the length of the Cyclopark and is a short ride from Gravesend Station or Ebbsfleet International.
Getting there by car
For those who wish to drive to the event there is ample parking available at the Cyclopark. Please note there is a £1 charge for using the car park and this must be paid before leaving the event.
The Cyclopark is located close to the A2 to the south of Gravesend. Take the A227 junction, (Gravesend Central) and follow the brown signs for Cyclopark.

Getting there by bus
The nearest bus stop to the Cyclopark is the Tollgate bus stop on the A227 Wrotham Road. You can catch either the Arriva 306 or 308 bus services which both serve Wrotham Road and Coldharbour Road which are both a short walk to the Cyclopark. The bus services run at the frequency of one per hour.
Getting there by train
There are number of stations all within 5km of the Cyclopark which all have regular services from London and the South East. If you do get the train to the event you will then need to find transport from the station to the Cyclopark.
