Location: Grosvenor Gardens, Sea Rd, Grosvenor Cres, Saint Leonards-on-sea TN38 0BX Date: Sunday 26th March 2023 Time: 10:30
We cordially invite you to join us for this exceptionally special Springtime race through the historic town of Hastings and the surrounding area.
The course meanders through the town and up to Queensway for a challenging (but exhilarating!) incline before turning onto the ridge where crowds often gather to cheer for our runners and show their support. Pushing on through Ore before turning back towards the picturesque lanes of the Old Town, with roast coloured rooftops glinting in the Spring sun. And then, along the seafront to enjoy the final leg of this iconic race beside a glistening sea and crashing waves. It's a stupendous finish to an extraordinary race. And, you won't want to miss it.
Also on offer is our Mini Run, especially designed for our young racing enthusiasts between the ages 9 - 16 and who will each be awarded a specially designed medal as they charge across the finish line.
Our runners have been hitting the tarmac to enjoy this race for almost forty years; it's steeped in local history and grown to be a firm favourite in the racing calendar. If you're looking for an inspiring challenge perfectly placed for Spring time marathon training (or even just a very special racing experience in its own right), and an enjoyable day out for the family then The 39th Hastings Half Marathon is the racing delight you've been looking for.
Each finisher will be awarded with a bespoke horse brass and there will be prizes for the following racers...
- Top 3 Males
- Top 3 Females
- Top 3 Locals
- Winners of each age category
- Leading male & female teams
We look forward to seeing you there!

The Half Marathon route takes you on a single loop around Hastings and surrounding areas. Starting from Grovesnor Gardens the route takes you towards St Leonards and up Harley Schute Road.
The course then takes you up the long climb of Queensway and along the Ridge which is famous for it's large crowds of support.
Finally the route will take you through the historic Old Town before a flat sprint along the seafront to finish.
Medical services will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by your electronic chip. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre. Presentations will take place approximately 60 minutes after the first finisher.`
Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.
