Join us for the return of the Kent Golden Mile. The races should appeal to sprinters of all ages, sizes and abilities. Test yourself against the best on this pancake flat, point to point, accurately measured 1 mile course.
And if you've enough energy left, why not try your luck in the Kent Golden 5k that follows this race? A fast and flat out and back dash along the promenade that would suit runners of all standards, including beginners.
There are plenty of prizes up for grabs, including cash prizes for the first three in the Senior Golden Mile! Plus £150 cash prizes available to teams from both Clubs or Schools in the Junior Golden Mile.

Baggage Drop Off
The Course An accurately measured, point-to-point race along the Dymchurch seafront. No turnaround to contend with on the 1 mile, plus a pancake flat course, should make for fast times. Those running the 5k will complete an out and back course along the seafront starting and finishing close to the Martello Towers.
First Aid Private medical services will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by your electronic chip. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre. Prize giving and presentations will take place approximately 45 minutes after the first runner home.
Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.

The race headquarters will be at the Martello Tower. Parking is available at the Martello Tower Car Park and in other designated car parks within the town centre, but please take note of any parking restrictions or charges that may be in force.
For those wishing to arrive by train, the closest station is Westenhanger which is around 7 miles away so you will need arrange additional transport.
