The Peak District Manifold Trail 10 Mile - Cancelled

Due to Covid-19 the event has been cancelled, we will be in touch with all entrants in due course

Join Nice Work for this brand new series of events for the Peak District racing calendar. Managed by the same team that brings you the successful Tissington, Monsal and Carsington Water Half Marathons these events will give you the opportunity to experience the fantastic scenery of the Peak District. Taking place on the hard trails of the Dovedale, Manifold Trail and Carsington Water the routes would suit runners of all standards including those new to 10 mile & 10k races.

The Manifold Trail 10 Mile is the third and final race in a three-race series which together comprises The Peak District Marathon Weekend.

The three races are:

Friday 29th May 2020 - The Peak District Dovedale 10k
Saturday 30th May 2020 - The Peak District Carsington Water 10 Mile
Sunday 31st May 2020 - The Peak District Manifold Trail 10 Mile

You can run them individually - or take part in all three. If you take part in all three and run 26.2 miles you will receive a specially designed Commemorative Peak District Marathon Weekend Medal.

Each race also features the Peak District Mile - a chip timed 1 mile race for both junior runners and adults. It's ideally suited to those new to running.

The Manifold Trail 10 Mile takes in the stunning, traffic-free Manifold Trail - one of the most iconic of Peak District trails - with a flat-ish, good surface throughout.

Brought to you by the same team that manages the Tissington Trail Half Marathon - which regularly features in the Runner's World top 10 UK trail races - this race will be an out and back race along the Manifold Trail

Suitable for experienced runners but also a great introduction to the 10 Mile distance for runners of all abilities.

The Course
The race starts and finishes at Hulme End and is an out and back route along the Manifold Trail.

The course will be traffic-free but will be used by other Trail users including walkers, dog walkers, horses and cyclists. We ask that all runners keep to the left hand side of the trail, to be aware of, and respect, other trail users and take extra care where the trail narrows.

First Aid
Private medical services will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. Please note that due to the nature of the trail, it is not possible to provide contiuous supervision all along the course. Should you become unwell, you will be advised to alert a marshal, who will then arrange assistance for you. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by your electronic chip. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre. Prize giving and presentations will take place approximately 60 minutes after the first runner home.

Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.
