Following the success of our inaugural March Festival of Running we return to Buckinginhamshire for an Autumn edition.
The festival includes a variety of events across the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd November including canicross events on the Saturday and 10 and 5 mile on the Sunday. There will also be a range of children's events covering 3k & 1k events across the weekend.
The Wendover Woods 10 & 5 Mile
This brand new 10 & 5 Mile will use the stunning forest paths and trails in and around Wendover Woods and is open to runners of all abilities, from novices to experienced athletes. The weekend is perfect for fitting into training plans. If 10 Mile is too far why not try the 5 Mile option.
There will be bespoke medals and finish line goodies on offer to all finishers.
There are prizes on offer to leading men and ladies plus a variety of age category prizes and team prizes for both male and female (3 to score).
The Wendover Woods Autumn
10k & 5k Canicross Challenge
Bring your pooch down for a challenge around the picturesque Wendover Woods. With a choice of 10k or 5k there is a distance for those new to canicross running or the more experienced.
We will have a range of treats for all finishers plus prizes for leading runners in both distances.
The Wendover Woods 3k & 1k Children's Challenge
We will have a range of children's events across the weekend including a 3k on the Saturday morning and 1k on the Sunday morning. These will be chip timed with medals for all and open to children of all abilities.
The Course The course is two laps for the 10 Mile and a single loop for 5 Mile of a challenging route around the trails and paths within Wendover Woods. The route should be quiet with no vehicle traffic, although there will be other forest users and bicycles crossing the routes, so runners should be alert to other users.
First Aid St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep runner following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by our chip timing team. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre, but please allow time for manual processing. Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.

"I'm just writing to say how much I enjoyed the event yesterday. It wasn't too big a crowd and the course route was wonderful. I normally struggle on the hills but on this occasion the views were a great distraction to keep my mind off the gradient.
please pass on my thanks to the marshalls (those jelly babies at the water stops were most welcome) and everybody who helped to make this such an excellent event.
I'm definitely going to do this race again in 2020."
