Join us for this return of this Festival of Running within the undulating forest of Wendover Woods.
The festival includes a variety of events across the weekend of the 29th February and 1st March including canicross events on the Saturday.
This brilliant event for the Buckinghamshire Canicross Calendar will use the undulating forest paths and trails in and around Wendover Woods and is open to runners of all abilities, from novices to experienced athletes.
There will be medals and finish line goodies on offer to all finishers.
There are prizes on offer to leading men and ladies in each distance.
The Course The course is two laps for the 10k and a single loop for 5k of an undulating route around the trails and paths within Wendover Woods. The route should be quiet with no vehicle traffic, although there will be other forest users and bicycles crossing the routes, so runners should be alert to other users.
First Aid St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep runner following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by our chip timing team. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre, but please allow time for manual processing. Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.
"I'm just writing to say how much I enjoyed the event yesterday. It wasn't too big a crowd and the course route was wonderful. I normally struggle on the hills but on this occasion the views were a great distraction to keep my mind off the gradient.
please pass on my thanks to the marshalls (those jelly babies at the water stops were most welcome) and everybody who helped to make this such an excellent event.
I'm definitely going to do this race again in 2020."
