We’re out of the woods – and into the forests!!
At long last we’ve been given the go ahead for racing to return to the UK’s forests – and we're delighted to be back at our spiritual forest home – Bedgebury!
We have been using forest paths and trails in and around Bedgebury Pinetum for some years now. Bedgebury is an award winning visitor attraction with something for everyone. It is home to a world-leading collection of conifers and provides a beautiful setting for peaceful walks, picnics …. And running!
Our popular 10k and 5k Summer Series is open to runners of all abilities, from novices to experienced athletes, with 5k runners completing one lap of the scenic off road forest trails and 10k runners completing two. The route is undulating, with both races suitable for those new to racing as well as experienced runners.
There will be medals and finish line goodies on offer to all finishers. There are prizes on offer to leading men and ladies plus a variety of age category prizes and team prizes for both male and female (3 to score).
Series prizes are also on offer for the leading man and lady with points awarded for race positions across the series.
The races will incorporate our tried and tested Covid safety measures and adhere to the guidelines laid down by UK Athletics.
