The Folkestone Rotary Half Marathon

The Folkestone Half Marathon is a long established race, with this year’s race being the 16th version of the event.

The accurately measured course starts on the Leas, down a steep hill onto the Road of Remembrance and through the coastal park before an out and back section along the seafront to Hythe and back again. It uses a mainly flat route along the seafront from Folkestone to Hythe and back – with a cheeky hill thrown in as you return to the Leas in the town.

This half is suitable for both experienced and first-time half marathon runners.
A bespoke medal, finish line goodies and a wide range of prizes are on offer at the finish are on offer for all finishers plus there are prizes for the leading runners in all age groups – plus a £100 cash prize for the first man and first lady.

The Half Marathon will be preceded by a Children's Race at 9.30 am.

The race is organised by Folkestone Rotary Club (Charity no: 266883) in support of local and international charities. Runners are encouraged to support these charity efforts by seeking individual sponsorship.

Please be aware of any other promenade users as we do not have exclusive use.

You can view the course map on the Rotary Club website here.
