The Beckenham Half Marathon will be going ahead on Sunday 26th September this year after an enforced years absence due to Covid.
The race covers a 13.1 mile route in Beckenham and the surrounding area, starting and finishing at Beckenham Rugby Club, in Balmoral Avenue.
The efforts of the Beckenham Half Marathon are:
To raise awareness and funds for a great charity that saves lives by researching vital cancer drugs. (Every penny we raise at this event is donated to Action Against Cancer, which supports the work of leading oncologist Prof Justin Stebbing and his team at Imperial College, Hammersmith Hospital, London).
To encourage us to come together as a community
To get fit and exercise in the outdoors
To remember those who we have lost to cancer
To show our support to people suffering right now
There will be a limited amount of places this year due to the event being slightly smaller this year to allow for potential COVID adjustments. The organisers are working closely with the Council, NHS and England Athletics to ensure the race adheres to the latest event guidance.
Nice Work are responsible for Chip Timing Services for the event.
You can find details of the route on the Beckenham Half Marathon website here.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by your electronic chip. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre. Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.
