The Titsey Trail 10k

Following another successful year in 2019 the Titsey Trail 10K returns for the 11th time in 2021.

The race is managed under licence by Nice Work on behalf of Oxted Runners and Holland Sports AC, co-organisers of the race.

The race is open to runners of all abilities, from experienced athletes to social runners who want to try a challenging off-road course.

All finishers will receive a memento and an assortment of refreshments
Prizes/trophies are awarded to leading runners and age group winners

Race HQ will be near Limpsfield Chart Golf Club, just a short distance from the Start/Finish. There will be toilets and somewhere to leave a bag, if neccessary, at Race HQ. There are two large off-road car parks available this year, plus some small parking areas within the Chart woodlands.

All race profits this year will be split equally between local charities.

The race entry limit is 450 participants, which is usually reached before Race Day, so an early entry is advised.

The event will be held with an Association of Running Clubs Permit.

The Course
It is a single-lap run through the lovely woodlands of Limpsfield Common and the High Chart of Surrey and Kent. Most of the land is owned by the the Titsey Estate or National Trust. The course is almost entirely off-road along tracks, footpaths and bridleways, with a brief 200m stretch along a country lane. The first two kilometres are flat(ish), followed by some quite stiff drags (through lovely autumnal woodlands!) as you climb onto the beautiful, peaceful, wooded plateau of the High Chart, but no steep hills. After the first water stop at kilometre 4.5 there is a short loop through the woods that brings you back to the same water stop at kilometre 6. After that you can concentrate on enjoying a fast run back, dropping down off the Chart for the run home. The finish is on the same bridleway that you ran along at the start.
For 2019, the race organisers have responded to a request by National Trust to avoid a play area for small children that is on the race route.  The route has now had four small adjustments to the original course to maintain a race distance of 10 km.

You can view the course map here. You can view a copy of the course profile here.

First Aid
Tech Medical Services will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to ensure no runners stray off the designated route. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by your electronic chip. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre. Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.
