The race will leave Much Wenlock and cover a challenging route that incorporates quiet country lanes, trails and footpaths. Some of the route takes in the Shropshire Way as it drops into the gorge near Ironbridge, the birthplace of modern industry. At Ironbridge there is a short dogleg of around a mile along the river before returning to Ironbridge. Runners then climb out of the Gorge and return to Much Wenlock. There are a number of noticeable inclines.
St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
