Freelance Marketing Assistant (Email & Social Media)
Remote (UK-based) | 3 days per week | Ongoing freelance contract | Immediate start
Love running and marketing in equal measure? We’re looking for a creative, data-driven marketer who can help spread the buzz of race day to runners across the UK.
At Nice Work, we organise over 150 running events every year – from local 5Ks to iconic half marathons. We’re on the hunt for a freelance Marketing Assistant to plan, create and deliver our email and social media marketing in line with our event calendar, marketing strategy and sales goals.
What you’ll be doing:
• Drive event awareness and entries across all Nice Work races.
• Deliver engaging, on-brand email campaigns for each event – from launch to race week.
• Build and schedule campaigns using our in-house CMS, segmenting databases to reach the right runners.
• Create and schedule social media posts via Hootsuite, tailoring content to drive engagement and entries.
• Develop creative copy, visuals and short videos aligned with our friendly, inclusive tone of voice.
• Track performance, report on key metrics, and use insights to refine and improve campaigns.
You’ll need:
• 1–2 years’ experience in email and social media marketing.
• Excellent copywriting and creative content skills.
• A love for data, detail and deadlines.
• Confidence using marketing tools such as Hootsuite, CMS platforms and analytics dashboards.
• Most importantly — you’re a runner! You understand the community, the lingo and what motivates people to lace up and race.
