Congratulations to Tonbridge AC who pipped Dover Road Runners on the final race of the season thanks to a superb display at East Peckham 10k.

The 2023/2024 season will start in September 2023.

The Nice Work Kent Club Championship is a friendly but competitive league, not tied or associated with any particular group, that awards points to clubs based on both performance and participation.

We've trialled this for three months, so you may have already seen a few bits across our social media. We've taken on all feedback and now are thrilled to have launched the first official season which will run from August 2022 to July 2023.
We've devised a points system which means everyone who takes part in a race can contribute to their club's total score. 1 point is awarded to each runner for crossing the finish line, capped at 10 points per club, per event. The top 3 men and women are then awarded points weighted to 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Bonus points are awarded to races with bigger fields. It sounds complicated, but it's a simple formula really... (ish).
For example, 300 runners take part in a 10k. Sittingbourne Striders have 8 runners cross the finish line, one of which finished in second place. Sittingbourne Striders would receive 14 points (8 + 4 + 2). If Sittingbourne Striders took 18 runners, they would receive the capped maximum of 10 points for participation plus any performance points.
Despite the name, clubs from any county can enter the Club Championship, however only races that take place with a Kent postcode count towards the point system. This will be any race on the Nice Work website with Kent in the location.
The winning club will be awarded the Kent Club Championship shield, engraved with their club name, which can be kept for one year until it is awarded to the next winner. They will also be awarded a trophy to keep permanently, which will look great in any club house!

To track your clubs performance, monthly updates will be provided on this page.

You don't need to register to take part in the Kent Club Championship, just by entering a Nice Work race that takes place within Kent is enough to score points for your club.

Make sure you put your team/club name in the correct field when signing up, otherwise points will not be awarded.

If you're not a member of a running club, consider signing up to your local club - there's plenty of positives such as meeting new and like-minded people. You'll also improve your running a lot while having fun, as well as receiving huge support at races!
