Want an office with a view? Join the Nice Work race team as a race timer
Picture this.
It's early morning. The sun is shining on a seafront promenade, a bustling city centre or a quiet woodland trail. Hundreds - sometimes thousands - of runners are bouncing on their toes, waiting for the starting horn. They’ve spent months training for this moment.
And when they cross that finish line? You ensure every second counts accurately.
As a Race Timer you are the quiet hero at the heart of race day, transforming effort into precise, undeniable results.
If you're looking for an exciting role with responsibility, unique environments and a fantastic team culture, here is why you should join us as a Race Timer.
A job like no other: Big responsibility, incredible buzz
When a runner finishes, the first thing they do is glance at their watch and then wait for their official time. As a Race Timer, you’ll set up our timing system, manage live race day data, troubleshoot on the fly and ensure runners receive accurate results.
It takes focus, precision, and a cool head under pressure - but the feeling of delivering a flawless event when the dust settles is unbeatable.
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need a background in sports timing - we’re looking for the right mindset. You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Have exceptional attention to detail
- Are tech-savvy and logical
- Stay calm under pressure
- You hold a full UK driving licence, have weekend flexibility and don't mind an early morning or a spot of British weather!
