The 22nd Eridge Park 10 Trail Challenge

Tunbridge Wells Harriers are delighted that the Eridge Park 10 Trail Challenge returns again in 2021 for a 22nd time. The event has reguarly been voted in the top races in the UK.

The race is reported as "always a favourite of off-road veterans, a few tweaks to the route this year have seen this race rocket to the top of the charts. The route is traffic-free, the views are varied but uniformly captivating, and runners can't get enough of the steep, narrow climbs and copious quantities of mud."

This event gives the unique opportunity to run through the estate which is mostly private.

Prizes will be awarded to the first three finishers, male and female; first veteran male in M40, M50, M60 and M70; first veteran female in F35, F45, F55, F65; plus prizes for the first male and female teams (Three to score).

Here's what some of the runners who have taken part in the event before have said:
"This is what Sunday mornings were made for. Excellent race in every department."
"Unmissable, a great experience in every respect."
"Great muddy fun. Tie your laces tight and enjoy."
"My new favourite race!"

Entry fee includes free t-shirt, cakes and ale!

Nice Work will be providing entry management and chip timing services for the event.

The Course

The course is marshalled by our dedicated club members and friends and marked with red hazard tape in the trees, yellow flags and blue arrows on the ground.  Four drinks stations with Jelly Babies  (of the officially approved Haribo variety) and retirement points will be provided, plus first aid and amazing refreshments at the finish.

It is important not to stray from the marked route and to treat livestock, crops and machinery with respect; leave no litter; cause no fire; or make any unnecessary noise.  Enjoy the privilege of using the park, its life and work.

First Aid
St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep runner following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by the timekeepers. Tunbridge Wells Harriers will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre, but please allow time for processing. Results will be uploaded to the Tunbridge Wells Harriers website as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.
