The London Spring 10k

Join us for a return to London’s most iconic Royal Park for this speedy 10k!

We are delighted to confirm a return to London's Regent's Park for 2022!

The London Spring 10k returns to the beautiful surroundings of this amazing park. Situated in the heart of London, the course will take you past the world-famous London Zoo - so do look out for a glimpse of the animals on your way past!

The course will take in the sights and scenes of the park, including the boating lake, and take you down the famous Regent's Park Broad Walk to the Ready Money Fountain and then alongside the Zoo. The route is completely self-contained within the boundaries of the park with no roads to cross and no vehicles to contend with.

The event is a family friendly and, in addition to the main 10k race, there is also a 2 mile Fun Run. The race is perfect for runners of all abilities, from those looking to complete their first 10k distance to seasoned 10k runners looking for a new PB.


Age Limits
The race is suitable for experienced runners and beginners alike.
The minimum age on race day is 15 years for the 10k distance
.


Headphones
As the event is run under UK Athletics rules and takes place on paths around the park, headphones are permitted. However, we ask that you have the volume low enough to hear marshal instructions.


Prizes
All race finishers will receive a bespoke medal on completion of the race.
There are prizes for the leading men and women, plus leading vet categories and teams (three to score).

Please note that, as all of our races are licensed by UK Athletics, we will adhere to any Covid guidelines that are in place at the time.

Registration
The registration desk will be open from 08.30am and will be located close to The Broad Walk. It will be signposted.

‚ÄčParking
For those who wish to drive to the event there is very limited parking available on the Outer Circle, outside the park. Parking is pay and display which opens at 9am on Sunday morning.

Toilets
Toilets are located at The Capel Manor College.

Baggage Drop Off
The Baggage drop off will be located next to the registration desk and will be open from 08.30 am.

Refreshments
The on-site café located at The Board Walk will be open.

Water and Aid Stations
There will be a water station at the end of each lap (approximately every two miles) and at the start and finish. We will ensure that they are well supplied but runners, as always, have the option of carrying their own water bottles. We are happy to refill water bottles for you.

Changing and Shower Facilities
There are no changing rooms or showers available for this event.

The Course

The Regents Park 10k course is a three lap route covering the tarmac paths within the boundaries of Regents Park. The course has been officially measured and carries a certificate of course accuracy (certificate number: 22/148). The route is generally flat with only one gentle incline and covers the tarmac paths surrounding the park. 

The race is accurately measured and are classed as flat with one gentle incline on each lap. The surface is tarmac throughout and your favourite road shoes will be fine.
This is a multiple lapped course, with runners completing 3 laps.

First Aid
St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be fully marshalled to provide assistance to participants. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by your electronic chip. Results should be available on our website www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as you cross the finish line. Provisional results will be published as soon as possible after the race has finished and final results will be published as soon as is practical on the day after the race.

Trophies and awards will be sent in the post after the event.


All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results by email as soon as possible on the first working day after the race.

By Foot
The park is easily accessible by foot. You can enter the park through several gates and the Board Walk is located in the south of the park close to the Capel Manor College. The closest entrance is the Chester Gate off of Chester Road. Once in the park, follow the signs to the start and you will be able to easily find the Race HQ. There will also be race signage once you enter the park indicating which way to go.

By Car
For those who wish to drive to the event there is very limited parking available on the Outer Circle. Parking is pay and display which opens at 9am on Sunday morning. Please note no vehicles may enter the park under any circumstances.

By Public Transport
There are a number of Local bus routes that will take you to Regent’s Park where it is a short walk to Race HQ. The nearest underground tube station is Baker Street.
