The Ashbourne Half Marathon - Cancelled

Join Ashbourne Running Club for this beautiful but challenging half marathon out into the Peak District and Dove Dale.

The course will take you through the fabulous Derbyshire Dales scenery so beloved by Jane Austen and back to the historic market town of Ashbourne.

The race is organised by Nice Work on behalf of Ashbourne Running Club.

The race will be looking to attract runners of all abilities, from experienced athletes to those new to running.

Why not bring your family for the 5k Run in the Park, which starts shortly after the half marathon.

The Course
This accurately-measured course is an undulating but beautiful run starting in the town centre and after a lap of the town the route will take you through the Peak District and Dove Dale.

First Aid
St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by your electronic chip. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre. Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.
Race HQ: Ashbourne Recreation Ground, Cokayne Avenue, Ashbourne, Derbyshire, DE6 1EJ

The Race Headquarters will be at the recreation ground. The start of the race is in the Centre of the town on the Market Square. There is local car parking available on the streets surrounding the race HQ but there are car parks in Ashbourne.

There are no local railway stations to Ashbourne with the cloest being Uttoxter which is a 30 minute drive from the Race HQ.
