After a succesful debut in 2018 when over 200 people joined the Battle Bonfire Boyes cross country event around Battle Abbey. The race returns again in 2019 with a bang!
The approximately 8km two lap route takes you along the challenging Gunpowder Fields before finishing in front of the famous Battle Abbey.
The race is organised by Battle Bonfire Boyes with chip timing services provided by Nice Work.

The race will be looking to attract runners of all abilities, from experienced athletes to those new to running.

The Course. Starting at 10am infront of the Battle Abbey, the route will take you on a cross country two lap route around the Abbey grounds and Gunpowder Fields
First Aid First Aid providers will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by your electronic chip. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre. Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.
Race HQ: The Abbey Green, High Street, Battle, East Sussex, TN33 0AD
The Race Headquarters will be located on the Abbey Green. The start is located 100m from the race HQ in the high street with the finish located under the shadow of Battle Abbey. There is pay and display car parks located throughout Battle. Parking is not permitted on the High Street as this forms part of the route.
Parking is available on a first come first seved basis so we recommend car sharing and arriving in plenty of time.
The closest railway station is Battle which is roughly a mile from the race HQ.
