The Cosford Spitfire 10k

Location: RAF Cosford Museum, Shifnal, Shropshire, TF11 8UP
Date: Sunday 30th August 2020
Time: 10:00

Following another sell-out in 2019 Spitfire 10K we are offering 1500 runners the opportunity to take part in the 2020 Spitfire 10K in the unusual setting and magnificent surroundings of the RAF Museum Cosford.

The Spitfire 10K this year will be especially significant as it will be held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and all the men and women who defended Britain’s skies during the summer of 1940. This is why all our runners wear the name of a Battle of Britain pilot with their race number so that we may share further the story of those Royal Air Force personnel who served in this pivotal aerial campaign with a new generation.

The 2020 Spitfire 10K begins outside Hangar One, taking runners around the Museum site, past several iconic aircraft, before entering the RAF Cosford airfield!  During this gently undulating course, you will get to run up and down the runway!

At the end of the race, you will be awarded an exclusive Spitfire 10K medal, which will be extra special for 2020.
