Very muddy but great route and well run
Would appreciate more of an account event village for pre and post run. A pint or a coffee and cake, some music would be great for runners and spectators.
Very muddy in parts but loved it
Muddy
Epic mud. Great fun.
Very muddy, wet and challenging
Would have been a really good idea for a food truck/burger van at the finish to get some food and a hot drink, that was really needed after today’s adventure, and more warning how treturous conditions could be is the weather is or has been bad!
fun and friendly
It was wet and muddy. It was good fun with some very friendly people. The marshals were very good
Great race in fantastic surroundings - even if a little wet!
Signposting and markers great. Marshalls helpful.
Only complaint - please do not serve water in plastic cups! And please supply fruit at end instead of biscuits :)
Muddy fun run
I enjoyed the run but sorry for my husband who came to support me .
He had a coffee which was only half a cup and a bacon roll which he said was cold .
He paid £9 pounds for it .. He was just a bit disappointed .. This comment is just for feed back .
Wet but lots of fun!
A big thank you to all the amazing volunteers who stood in the rain and cheered us on today.
Muddy, hilly fun!!
Lovely run, lots of mud, really enjoyed it
The last mile of the 1/2 marathon I had to negotiate runners that had finished, supporters, kids, dogs etc, walking towards the cafe, most of whom didn’t seem to realise they should step out of the way for those still running. Apart from that it was great
Scenery was spectacular and marshalls were supportive and friendly. We would definitely recommend this race.
The only negative comments relate to car parking issues. We parked in the main carpark as the Walled Garden was full and there was no signage or marshalls to guide us to the race HQ - there were several of us runners just wandering around not knowing where to go.
On the way out we asked about the barriers and the car park attendant asked if we had submitted our registration number when we signed up for the race. We did not know about this and we were not the only ones as the car park attendant phoned the relevant person to submit our car number plate so we could get out of the car park.
Great scenery, very enjoyable
Muddy but great fun
A fun, scenic and varied route, even in the rain. The mud made it more technical but added to the experience. Disappointed in the infrequency of water stations but couldn't fault it other than that.
A beautiful place for an event, especially in autumn with the trees turning colour. Most enjoyable.
Great marshalling. I would have liked a countdown to the finish for the half marathon - I'd thought we would go the same way as the 10k finish but I actually thought I'd taken a wrong turn as I seemed to be running away from the noise of the finish for quite a long way. A toilet on the course would be welcome but I appreciate this is not always possible.
Best race of the season so far
Nice Work races always have a really good atmosphere and they’re always well organised and supported- no change here except it was in a beautiful, slightly wet, location
A challenging but fun-packed run through beautiful surroundings
The last hill in the slippery mud up to the finish line was a killer! I think some pre-warning about it being part of the route would have been helpful for training purposes.
Well organised, well marshalled
Very scenic and fantastic support from all the marshalls
