Fantastic, friendly event with great organisation and marshalling!
Loved it this year in spite of, or maybe even because of the weather. Lots of fun in the mud, and Bewl still looked beautiful, particularly the nature reserve section. A friendly atmosphere with people chatting along the way and great support from the marshalls, who were heroic in the rain. Thanks Waddies!

Super friendly, tough (mostly!) trail race with ace cakes and BEER at the end!
Despite the rain gods blessing us with some terrible weather, all the marshals out on the course and at the water stations were SO friendly and encouraging despite Zeus doing his best. It was really well signposted and marshalled, so no "off-piste" moments. I loved that it was muddy and crazy, yes, it IS trails out on Bewl Water, so if it's been raining, trail shoes are a must.
Amazing views over the reservoir and through the lanes, plus I saw a Red Kite - awesome.
The 5 miler would be a great first taster for beginner runners, the 15 is a toughie, one for the warriors out there!
So many cakes which meant seconds (or maybe even thirds!) beer, t-shirt, a very cool medal, what's not to love (other than the two "fields of undulating doom" at the end!)

Great race. Fantastic scenery with variety of terrain: woodland paths, open downland, gravel tracks and road. Weather made it tough this year.
Judith Carder
Friendly. Full marks for direction arrows, marshals and distance markers. Great cake (included) afterwards.
A tough but enjoyable course
A multi-terrain course with stunning scenery over 15 miles or an out and back 5 miles if you wish.
This year was made tougher due to the unusual July wet weather making underfoot very muddy and slippery but it all added to the fun.
Trail shoes recommended if the weather has been particularly wet in the days prior.
Friendly, supportive marshals
Lovely medal and nice T-shirt for our efforts too.

Great atmosphere and awesome event
Well done on the quick action to re-route the course when the cows escaped!
Leigh Skilton
Great fun
This was my first time running this event (15mile) and i will definitely come back next year. I would love to see a two lap option added (30mile) to make it an Ultra, ideally increasing the distance to equivalent to 50km.
A huge thank you to all the Marshalls out on the course.
Fiona O'Rorke
Excellent race in spite of the rain and mud. The hills at the end were brutal! Was fine until mile 12! Thank you to all the Marshalls and organisers - wonderful event
Lizzie Coleshill
Loved it so friendly and helpful
I saw an otter! Made my day love the medal
Peter Burfoot
A lovely race but very expensive for what it was.
Rhianne Sarna
Lovely race around Bewl Water

Hard work this year
Such a shame that the course was treacherous. Many people fell, including myself 3 times and it was not because of footwear.
The worst conditions undergoing all the years I have run it.
Graham Boutell
Fantastic race
Well organised and with brilliant stewards around the whole course
Nigel Dunn
A great event and today was my third time in succession. Love the route and atmosphere. Weather was awful today but nothing can be done about that.
Enjoyed it, the cake and food was delicious at the finish and all all the helpers should be congratulated and praised for giving up their time.

Muddy but beautiful course
Lovely atmosphere, friendly Marshalls and event organisers, great band and amazing cake at the end. Only negative was being chased by cows and had a bit of a course divert. Very muddy but ok in trail shoes!
Marina Davies
Despite the weather, the marshals were amazing, definitely would recommend this event.
Joe Lavery
Relaxed and throughly enjoyable with challenging route. Beautiful views and well organised thank you for a super time

Bambi on ice
Today's weather was challenging which had nothing to do with the organisers. I need to invest in trail shoes for any return visit as this was my first and I was worried about sunburn when I entered some weeks back. Great day though, runners supporting each other all the way round, friendly and generally very wet marshalls guiding the way. One that will remain in the memory for a good while, give it a go next year!!

Multi-terrain for a decent distance in stunning scenery
Superbly organised tough course (the hills at the end!) which never seems crowded even in the middle of the pack. Good range of terrain on a twisting flat route for most of the course demands stamina with the hills on road at the end. I always enjoy it and thoroughly recommend the race.
Ricky Coleman
Fantastic course, well marshalled and marked, great selection of food at the end.
