Challenging run with beautiful scenery and a great community feel!
Plenty of volunteers so was always confident of following the correct route! Thoroughly enjoyable from mile 1 to 15 and great as a training run or a standalone race

Bewl-tifully Tough.
Brutal, Beautiful, and Brilliant- Bewl at its best.

Fantastic
Brilliant race, best one I’ve done so far - friendly, welcoming and well organised! Plus we even had cake and a brass band at the end… would do again.

Will definitely recommend
Awesome route, brilliant volunteers and registration process.
WHY all the plastic cups !!! What a shame you left such a huge carbon footprint. A race of 15 miles should be cup free or paper cups when needed.
Also an earlier start time wouldn’t go amiss!!
Sort out the cups for a 5/5 run !!

Fabulous friendly race!
We travelled from Essex for this race and it didn’t disappoint; we both really enjoyed it! Thank you
Helen Foord
Brilliant friendly and organised race
Fabulous medal, always makes the harder runs worthwhile
Sharon Hood
Well organised, good vibe
The course is pretty brutal with the hills at the end. But great event, so well organised and nice not to be able to just do the 5! Thank you to all the marshals and organisers.

Cracking race, expertly organised
A challenging but rewarding trail run. Stunning views and wonderful Marshalls. Would highly recommend

Perfect Race
Everything about this race was perfect. The organisation was the best and I loved the challenging and beautiful route.
Thank you Wadhurst Runners and all the organisers.
Nicola Ronconi
Great fun despite the mud
Would suggest replacing plastic cups with paper cups
David Hunter
Great event run by great people

Brilliant!
I have never done a trail run before, but was expecting mud due to heavy rain prior and forecast. Whilst the terrain was hugely muddy and many parts I had to walk, I thoroughly enjoyed this run! The Marshalls were extremely friendly and helpful and the route was well signposted.
It is a hilly route, and on top of that with the rain, I would say this is more of an intermediate course. However, if you're participating for beautiful scenery and some fun I'd definitely recommend it. I had such a great day!

Fantastic, friendly event with great organisation and marshalling!
Loved it this year in spite of, or maybe even because of the weather. Lots of fun in the mud, and Bewl still looked beautiful, particularly the nature reserve section. A friendly atmosphere with people chatting along the way and great support from the marshalls, who were heroic in the rain. Thanks Waddies!

Super friendly, tough (mostly!) trail race with ace cakes and BEER at the end!
Despite the rain gods blessing us with some terrible weather, all the marshals out on the course and at the water stations were SO friendly and encouraging despite Zeus doing his best. It was really well signposted and marshalled, so no "off-piste" moments. I loved that it was muddy and crazy, yes, it IS trails out on Bewl Water, so if it's been raining, trail shoes are a must.
Amazing views over the reservoir and through the lanes, plus I saw a Red Kite - awesome.
The 5 miler would be a great first taster for beginner runners, the 15 is a toughie, one for the warriors out there!
So many cakes which meant seconds (or maybe even thirds!) beer, t-shirt, a very cool medal, what's not to love (other than the two "fields of undulating doom" at the end!)
Mark Currah
Great race. Fantastic scenery with variety of terrain: woodland paths, open downland, gravel tracks and road. Weather made it tough this year.
Judith Carder
Friendly. Full marks for direction arrows, marshals and distance markers. Great cake (included) afterwards.
A tough but enjoyable course
A multi-terrain course with stunning scenery over 15 miles or an out and back 5 miles if you wish.
This year was made tougher due to the unusual July wet weather making underfoot very muddy and slippery but it all added to the fun.
Trail shoes recommended if the weather has been particularly wet in the days prior.
Friendly, supportive marshals
Lovely medal and nice T-shirt for our efforts too.

Great atmosphere and awesome event
Well done on the quick action to re-route the course when the cows escaped!
Leigh Skilton
Great fun
This was my first time running this event (15mile) and i will definitely come back next year. I would love to see a two lap option added (30mile) to make it an Ultra, ideally increasing the distance to equivalent to 50km.
A huge thank you to all the Marshalls out on the course.

Excellent race in spite of the rain and mud. The hills at the end were brutal! Was fine until mile 12! Thank you to all the Marshalls and organisers - wonderful event
