Overview
Ready to experience a race from a completely different perspective?

We're shaking up the standard race day format to bring you a fresh race concept, featuring a 26.2 km Metric Marathon and a 13.1 km Metric Half Marathon.

For the Seasoned Marathoner: Think you've conquered the distance? Think again. This is a totally new tactical challenge to test your pacing, mindset and endurance.

For the Half Marathon Legend: Ready to step up without committing to a traditional marathon? The 26.2 km distance is your perfect, uncharted next step.

For the 10 km Specialist: Mastered the 10 km and want to level up? The Metric Half Marathon is the perfect stepping stone for an achievable new challenge.

For the Event First Timer: Looking for a debut race that stands out from the crowd? Skip the ordinary and make your own piece of history by taking on a unique distance most runners have never even tried.

Set against the breathtaking, dramatic backdrop of Derbyshire's iconic Monsal Trail, you'll soak in stunning, uninterrupted nature on a beautiful flat-ish, fast course.

It's fresh, it's fast, and it's a flex like no other.

Are you ready to go metric?

Directions

Race HQ: Bakewell Station, Bakewell, Derbyshire DE45 1GE

By Car:
The race will start and finish at Bakewell Station. Please note that there will be no car parking at Bakewell Station, other than for disabled motorists. However, there are plenty of car parking facilities in the town centre – two large pay and display car parks are located around 500 metres from the Station. The road to Bakewell Station is a ‘No through road’ and so it isn’t feasible for runners to be dropped off – there is nowhere to turn around.

There is also parking, spectator facilities – and an excellent café – just a mile or so along the trail at Hassop Station, providing a pleasant warm up run to the start!
