Overview
The Haywards Heath Bike Ride was founded in 2010 with the aim of celebrating the local area whilst raising funds for local charities. There are four different routes, offering options for riders of all abilities and ambitions. The event celebrates the Haywards Heath community, offers a warm welcome to all and enjoys friendly, family vibes. It also benefits from some wonderful local support from community groups and spectators who come out to cheer our bike riders to the finish! A truly fun family day for everyone!
Riding for a cause
The Haywards Heath Bike Ride supports two fantastic local charities:
Crawley Open House... provides support and services for those suffering the effects of homelessness, unemployment, lonliness, discrimination or other forms of social exclusion. Their support is available to anyone in need. Each night Crawley Open House is "home" for 60 people who otherwise would have nowhere else to stay. Their help extends to resettling residents into pemanent accommodation, running employability & life-skills classes, running a drop-in day centre offering practical & emotional support, handing out emergency food parcels and much, much more.
Kangaroos... supports children, teenagers and adults with severe learning disabilities including those with mobility issues, epilepsy, autism, challenging behaviour and complex medical needs. They also have family and sibling programmes to provide respite and support for those with a disabled family member.
