Overview
This award-winning race is immensely popular amongst runners, many of whom return year after year. Famous for its hugely enjoyable course, electric race day vibes, enthusiastic marshals and well-appointed event village. Both the marathon and half marathon are undulating, accurately measured courses that take runners through the tree lined avenues of Central Park and out onto the rural country lanes that surround this historic town.

Running for a Cause 
This race is a major fundraising event for Little Havens Children's Hospice, who provide specialist care and support for babies, children and young people living with complex or incurable conditions. By entering the race, making a donation or becoming a Havens Hero, you are contributing to families in need and helping to make every day count.


HEROES Race Entry
If you select to register for the race on a HAVENS HEROES ticket, then your entry will include a £16 donation to Little Havens. This additional contribution could cover the cost of providing half an hour of essential care at the hospice, making a real difference to a child or young person in need. It's the small things that make the biggest difference.

Little Havens Children's Hospice is delighted to once again partner with the Carli Lansley Foundation to offer free heart screening for younger runners participating in the Chelmsford Marathon and Half. Further details of this will be available in your race comms.
