It is our greatest pleasure and utmost delight to cordially invite you to the Hadleigh 2012 Legacy 10k, an award winning race with a brand new course and some serious trail treats to delight your racing soul!
This is a Partner Race
This means that we are working with a host Partner Organisation and providing timing and/ or race management services for their event.
Event Overview:
This sell-out event offers a unique opportunity to test your stamina and endurance to the limit. You can expect an exceptionally challenging but exhilarating course with spectacular views. Be prepared to conquer some seriously tough hills and, in the spirit of trail racing, expect mud, mud, mud!
This race is organised by Nice Work on behalf of Castle Point Joggers.
2025 will, once again, see an elite wave with further wave starts to follow after as part of the main race; details of this will be included in the race-day info sent out via email a few days before the event.
Photograpy
We are also pleased to announce that, once again, Liam Winters Photography will be returning to Hadleigh to capture your best race-day moments. Your free photos will be ready to view after the race on the Castle Point Joggers website.
(NEW!) Course Details:
You asked and we listened! The Hadleigh Legacy 10k has a new course for 2025. Having listened to feedback, we have crafted a brand new course that remains true to the original architecture of the race, which earned it an award as the No.1 10k in the South East by Let's Do This and Runners World.
It is now a single lap course and has been designed to enhance the runner experience and keep the flow and pace of the race firmly in mind. That said, whilst it removes many obstacles of recent years, it will remain true to the description of an exceptional trail race and continue to include a number of kissing and latch gates throughout the course. Prepare for your endurance and stamina to be put to the ultimate test; tough hills, mud and more mud should be expected but we think that this only adds to the finishline joy you can look forward to. This is the stuff of dreams! A hugely enjoyable off-road 10k utilising the footpaths, grass fields and trails set within the grounds of Hadleigh Castle. It's trail running at its absolute best.
The course has been measured using GPS but, because of its multi terrain nature, it cannot carry a certificate of course accuracy. The route will be clearly marked using large route arrows and directional cones, as well as being marshalled throughout. The circuit is officially closed and, although we have secured special permission from Essex County Council to stage the run, there may be the occasional walker and dog walker, so you should exercise care whilst running.

You can view the brand new route map here. You'll be able to download the route in different formats including GPX.
