Challenge but rewarding race.
Tough going every year but that’s why it’s always rewarding to run this race.

Fantastic day out!! 8th time ive done this race, really enjoyed it again
Only constructive criticism I had was on the really muddy bit at the bottom of the castle, I thought that someone may get hurt cos they cant stay upright and they may grab the barbed wire if they fell over. But thank you to the organisers for another enjoyable day x

Loved this - a tough course but inclusive, friendly and well organised. Just what trail running is all about!

Fantastic course with great views over the Thames Estuary and new route with great climb up to Hadleigh Castle. As always, brilliant organisation before and during the event with lots of helpful and friendly marshalls. One of my favorite event

Fantastic course, well organised, but brutal.
Having done the parkrun here, I was looking forward to exploring more of the country park. It's a great course which has a lot of variety. The really muddy sections are fairly short and there are a lot of hills at the beginning and the end, but the flat section on slightly firmer ground in between gives enough respite to recover and get ready to push again. First time here so can't compare with the old course, but one-lap is good and the two bottlenecks in the first mile or so where you have to briefly queue to get through a kissing gate are really no big deal. All bar one of the remaining gates were open and we were spread out enough to sail through. My only regret was not wearing my fell shoes - they would have really helped in the mud and been better than the trail shoes I did wear. I've got next year's date in my diary already, so lesson learned unless we have a very dry spell beforehand.

Hellish hills & all the trills
If you like hills, mud and a bit of Essex countryside you’ll love it. Great organisation, route this year was incredible.

Really hard route but made the training worthwhile!
Very hard but satisfying route however there were a few hold ups at the gates which was a shame. Excellent communications prior to event and very smooth organisation on the day.

Fantastic
Organisation first class. Scenery and the weather was outstanding.
Most importantly I would like to thank the Marshall's and the Organisers of both Castle Point Joggers and Nice Work Race Management. Thank you all.

Great course, more a mud run with hills. Lovely volunteers just so.e point of course where has small gates ot gets a bit back logged. Could maybe do with a staggered start to help this a bit

Challenging but rewarding
Would prefer an earlier start , 9.30 am or 10.00am. Helpful for those who work weekends. Loved the hills! challenging but rewarding. Enjoyed the route, one or two hold ups on the way. A big thank you to the race organisers and marshalls.
