Very well organised fast and flat summer 10k
This is a fast 10k on country lanes. The organisation was excellent with plenty of free parking nearby. There were lots of Marshalls out on the route, two water stations (which is reasonable for a 10K) and a nice atmosphere on the village green before and after the race. It was pretty hot this year, which made the return leg tough, so an earlier start (say 09:30) might help bearing in mind the race takes place in mid July. Apart from that, it ticks all the right boxes and special mention to Nice Work for the photo album they email to everyone after the race, which is a nice touch.
Thanks for your kind words. We'll certainly look to have discussions with our race partner given the recent weather trend over the past few years on race day! So pleased you enjoyed the race.

Great flat route!
Absolutely love this route, well organised, thank you to all the volunteers.
Great parking for the event too
My son loves the junior run, such a great atmosphere, I love the jaffa cakes

hot and humid
Both times I have run this it has been very hot.
July may not be the month to hold this.

Always a great race
My 3rd year doing this race as I love the route. Marshalls are super friendly and encouraging. The atmosphere is always so nice.
Just 2 things I’d like to mention, I think given the time of year and the conditions, maybe an earlier start is needed.
Also another water station is definitely needed. Perhaps at 5k.
Will most certainly be back again next year.

I'll be back!
Very good enjoyable route on nice quiet roads. Marshalls were excellent and encouraging. Yes it was incredibly hot so maybe an earlier start could be considered. Otherwise well done all and thank you

A lovely little event.
I was surprised that there was no Vet ladies 75+ but there was for men.
This meant l was competing against ladies 5yrs younger.
As l am never going to win a race l like to be given a chance in my age cat.

Nice flat route, good for those looking for a fast time and good for slower, less experienced runners.
An earlier start for the main race, is something to consider seeing as the race is run in the summer. To reduce the time runners and marshals are out in the main heat of the day.
Over all a good and well organised event.
Thank you.

Great event
Please vary your prize winnings awards, the same awards at each race you organise takes away any uniqueness from events

Gorgeous views fun event
Brilliant marshals, brilliant events organisation EXCEPT ran out of cups on way back - hot weather was forecasted & people towards the back are in more need of water! Major mistake!! ☹️ have taken own cup b4 and been no pouring jugs so didn't take it this time! Can't win! Such a shame as had them at the end could've been driven out to replenish.
Hi Rhona, Thanks for your lovely comments about the race. Just to reassure you and address your concerns regarding the on-course cups, we significantly over supplied the quota of cups to allow for any runners taking a drink after 3.2km as well as 6.8km. We also supplied extra water out there too as we were aware of the conditions. Feedback from the volunteers was that a number of runners were taking several cups on their passes of the water station and this is something we will now incorporate into future planning. We had only slightly more cups than finishers at the finish line as we are able to replenish cups quickly so as to prevent cup wastage (as well as send more out onto the course), and we hope you enjoyed plentiful supplies there.

Very good event for me and facilities available, being localish I know the set up and number one event for me apart from cross country, thank you.
Thanks for your kind words, Raymond. Do drop us a line though as we announced you as the winner of your age category and we have a trophy for you!

Flat 10K on road through farmland
Would quite like an earlier start in the summer heat. 9am would have been good.
Special shout out to the volunteer coming round multiple times with a jug of water after the finish to fill up our cup!

Very friendly

Nice flat rural course in the Romney Marshes
When I got to the water station after completing the loop they had no cups so I had to wait for someone to find some ( they only found a few ) Not good on such a hot day
Hi James, We're sorry about the cup issue Just to reassure you and address your concerns regarding this, we significantly over supplied the quota of cups to allow for any runners taking a drink after 3.2km as well as 6.8km. We also supplied extra water out there too as we were aware of the conditions. Feedback from the volunteers was that some runners were taking several cups on their passes of the water station and this is something we will now incorporate into future planning. We had only slightly more cups than finishers at the finish line as we are able to replenish cups quickly so as to prevent cup wastage and hope you had several refills with us there.
