Join us in one of London’s most iconic Royal Parks for a speedy 10k!
The Regent’s Park 10k returns for a third year in 2020 to the beautiful surroundings of Regent’s Park. Situated in the heart of London, the course will take you past the world-famous London Zoo, look out for a glimpse of the animals on your way past!
The course will take in the sights of the park, including, the boating lake and down the famous Regent's Park Broad Walk. You will also pass the Money Fountain and alongside London Zoo. The route is completely self-contained within the boundaries of the park with no roads to cross and no vehicles to contend with.
The event is a family friendly event and in addition to the main 10k race, there is an Adults Fun Run, of around 2 miles which will start at the same time as the 10k race at 09.00am. There is also a short Children’s Race which will start at 08.45am.
The race is perfect for runners of all abilities, from those looking to complete their first 10k distance to seasoned 10k runners looking for a new PB.

The Regents Park 10k course is a three lap route covering the tarmac paths within the boundaries of Regents Park. The course has been officially measured and carries a certificate of course accuracy (certificate number: 11/174). The route is generally flat with only one gentle incline and covers the tarmac paths surrounding the park. Runners will pass around various sections of the park past the boating lake and down the famous Regent's Park Broad Walk. You will also pass the Money Fountain and alongside London Zoo.
The race will be chip timed.
This event is fully licenced by UK Athletics and held under their rules.
The race is suitable for experienced runners and beginners alike. The minimum age on race day is 15 years for the 10k distance.
Race Number Information
Race numbers for the event will be available to collect on the day from the registration desk located at Race HQ. No ID is required but please arrive in plenty of time so that the race can start promptly.
As the event is run under UK Athletics rules and takes place on paths around the park, headphones are permitted. However, we ask that you have the volume low enough to hear marshal instructions.
All race finishers will receive a bespoke medal on completion of the race.
There are prizes for the leading men and women, plus leading vet categories and teams (three to score).
Prize giving and presentation will be approximately 45 minutes after the first finisher is home.
The registration desk will be open from 07.30am and will be located close to The Hub. It will be signposted.
For those who wish to drive to the event there is very limited parking available on the Outer Circle, outside the park. Parking is pay and display which opens at 9am on Sunday morning.
Toilets are located at The Hub.
Baggage Drop Off
The Baggage drop off will be located next to the registration desk and will be open from 07.30 am.
The on-site café located at The Hub will be open.
Water and Aid Stations
There will be a water station at the end of each lap (approximately every two miles) and at the start and finish. We will ensure that they are well supplied but runners, as always, have the option of carrying their own water bottles. We are happy to refill water bottles for you.
Changing and Shower Facilities
There are no changing rooms or showers at this event.
The Course The race is accurately measured and are classed as flat with one gentle incline on each lap. The surface is tarmac throughout and your favourite road shoes will be fine. This is a multiple lapped course, with runners completing 3 laps.
Course Map and elevation profile
First Aid St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be fully marshalled to provide assistance to participants. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
As you cross the finish line please make sure you cross over the Chip Timing mat which will automatically record your official time against your race number. Any runners wearing a bum bag around the course must be careful not to apply pressure to the timing chip on the reverse of your race number. This can cause a problem with the signals from the chip and may affect your race time. This also applies when starting/stopping your watch as you cross the line – please wait until you have crossed the mats before activating or deactivating your watch. Signal Permitting- Live results will be available on www.nice-work.org.uk during the event and a full set will be posted online shortly after the event has finished. All athletes who provide us with a legible email address will also be emailed the final results on the next working day following the event. Race HQ: The Hub, Regent's Park, London NW1 4RU
By Foot The park is easily accessible by foot. You can enter the park through several gates and the Hub is located in the centre of the park close to the Winter Gardens. The closest entrances are Monkey Gate opposite Primrose Hill. Once in the park, follow the signs to the Hub and you will be able to easily find the Race HQ. There will also be race signage once you enter the park indicating which way to go.
By Car For those who wish to drive to the event there is very limited parking available on the Outer Circle. Parking is pay and display which opens at 9am on Sunday morning. Please note no vehicles may enter the park under any circumstances.
By Public Transport There are a number of Local bus routes that will take you to Regent’s Park where it is a short walk to Race HQ. The nearest underground tube station is Baker Street.
