My first Charing 10k and first race for 2 years. Found the hills challenging but really enjoyed the race particularly the last 3 K along the pilgrim's way ( downhill) . The race was very well organised and all the marshalls and support team were encouraging friendly and really made the event
Would certainly look to run this again.

Beautiful scenery and love it being on a Friday evening. Bit hilly but such a friendly atmosphere and amazing marshalls help to get you round. Loved it!

I absolutely love this race, the scenery is so lovely, the route is fab and yep, there is one big hill but the trail section that follows is so nice and shady, and then downhill to the end. It’s so close to being 10k a couple of my friends watches didn’t register it as 10k but mine did this year. Either way, I’ll be back to do it for a 3rd time next year. It’s great to run in the evening and the bar is great. One of my faves!

This is a challenging 10k, but it is suitable for all abilities. The marshals are brilliant and its always a good night.

Such a great and memorable evening. Thank you to the organisers, the marshals and runners. I last did a 10k 35 years ago in Battersea park and this took a lot longer this time!

Very lonely along the pilgrims way but a great course

First time doing this race, the evening start appealed to me. Having run many nice work races I knew it would be good, having the Striders involved made it awesome. So well organised, great support and fantastic atmosphere. Cracker of a hill but rewarded with a couple of miles of the Pilgrims way when you get to the top. Can't wait to be back

I was last of the runners this time round (lack of training) and did find it hard, but the lovely scenery and different aspects of the run, some on road and then off road kept it interesting.
Massive thank you to Ashford Striders sweep up team who were the best personal support team all the way round and kept me safe and going, even when I had enough!!
If you find yourself at the back, it can be the best place to be, the welcome to the finish was by far the best anyone got, hugs, congratulations and well dones were so welcome, thank you again. ❤️ Layla

Friday evening in June is a great time for a race. The course is great: mostly flat and fast but with a challenging hill and an off-road section to add variety. Great venue with food and drink available next to the finishing line and the organisation and marshalling were first class. Only improvement I can suggest is maybe a two-wave start, as the lane from the start line to the road is narrow and was quite crowded.

Great atmosphere, Marshalls and spectators around the course. Makes a difference having it on a Friday night but loved that - good to have a drink and BBQ after.
One big hill then a nice trail section and downhill towards the finish line. Great post run fuel at the end!

Absolutely loved it, really great route and friendly and supportive Marshalls the whole way around. Looking forward to next year!

Really enjoyed this. Tough route but the sense of achievement afterwards is amazing. Marshalls were awesome.

My second year doing this race. Challenging route but once you are up the steep hill the rest of the route is downhill. Staggered start would be good in future as it was busy and difficult to get through the amount of people. Also would have been helpful if the marshals on one of the last corners warned people about the gravel and to take it a bit wider as I completely stacked it!
