I was disappointment in the medal this year as it was so good last year seemed abit poor considering last years

Turns out I've run this five times despite living in Devon. I came over once to do a 10k in Leigh on Sea and my sainted mother was telling the egg lady at Pitsea market all about it. The egg lady told her about the 15. So it began. I now drive many hours, pick up mates from Reading Joggers and get joined by other runners from Brighton. Catch up with the folks. Run the race in an Axe Valley Runners vest and get tons of support from runners and marshalls alike all of whom are coming down for the Grizzly.

Great race, very friendly, well organised. It's brilliant. Obviously it's a world of hills and mud and being in January bloody freezing. I hate every single mile. See you next year

Great race extremely challenging lovely scenery. Well organised. Definitely recommend anyone who likes a challenge

Do the medals really need to be in plastic bags?

Could frighten a first time runner! Challenging but enjoyable. Good sense of comraradry. Marshals were top banana.

Although this is a tough run , it’s well organised parking is easy the marshals are amazing

My first time - tough course but will definitely be coming back!!

Really enjoyed the Benfleet 15, the course was really scenic and pretty though challenging with the hills and mud. I can imagine it would have been a lot harder had it been raining and windy. Ran out of parking but luckily I managed to find a space in a nearby street. Overall I really enjoyed the event and will be signing up for next year :)

Great camaraderie, great race

The event was fantastic 1st time I have taken part in it. Everything seemed to work & worked well. Benfleet running club marshals were excellent as well preformed their duties at really high standards. Definitely will recommend. Lcpl Banham.

This is the 3 rd time I have ran this event - last time was 2013 in the snow !
Which was stunning ! The Canvey wall in that wind and any time is a slog mind over matter -can be boring- the 1 st and last part is much more interesting & scenic . Lots of friendly faces and great atmosphere in places !
