The Podplus Ashford Summer 10k & 5K Series - Race 3

The third race in this popular Summer evening series for Ashford in a traffic free, park setting - the whole series features four races. 

The event features a 10k option as well as a 5k race. Series and race prizes will be awarded to the best three out of four races in both the 5k and 10k.

The fast and slightly undulating course makes this event ideal for setting a new 5k PB - and it's great too for beginners or those simply looking for a short evening run.

The Course
The Ashford summer series comprises a lap course along the paved pathways throughout Victoria Park. 5k runners will complete two laps of the course and 10k runners will complete four laps. The course is slightly undulating, but flat in parts.

First Aid
St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep runner following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for. 
‚ÄčPoints scored in each race count towards overall Series prizes, with the best three races to count towards the final series results.

Your individual time and position will be recorded by manual time keepers. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre. Results will be uploaded to 
www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.

The race headquarters and start will be set up within the park on the side along Jemmett Road.

Victoria Park is accessible by car and there is some parking available on the roads surrounding the park. Please take note of any parking charges or restrictions that may be in force.

The park is easily accessible by foot from Ashford International railway station. Simply follow pedestrian signs for the park from just outside the station
- it is approximately a 15-20 minute walk. You should see the race headquarters on your right, shortly after you have crossed the river.
