INTO THE FOREST AT CANNOCK CHASE FOR 10 MILES (or 5!) OF RACING JOY!

Following a sell out debut in 2019 come and join us for this great 10 Mile race using the forest paths and trails in and around Cannock Chase Forest. This is a challenging and hilly course but well worth it!

The event welcomes runners of all abilities, from novices to experienced athletes and it is the perfect race for spring marathon training.

But, if the 10 mile option isn't quite right just yet then why not try the 5 mile option?

We will be awarding medals and finish line goodies to all race finishers with other prizes available for the leading men and ladies, plus a variety of age category prizes and team prizes for both male and female (3 to score) in the 10 mile. Prizes will be awarded to top 3 male and female runners in the 5 mile.

Entry Limit: 750

As all of our races are licensed by our governing body, UK Athletics, we will adhere to any Covid guidelines in place at the time of the race.

The Course
The course uses a challenging and hilly two lap route around the trails and paths within Cannock Chase. Starting and finishing close to Penkridge Road Car Park, the route should be quiet with no vehicle traffic, although there will be other forest users and bicycles crossing the routes, so runners should be alert to other users.

You can view the course map here.

You can view the elevation profile for each lap here.

First Aid
St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep runner following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by our chip timing team. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre, but please allow time for manual processing. Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.
