The Oundle New Year 10k & 5k

NEW YEAR JOY AS OUNDLE RETURNS!

It's official! The Oundle New Year 10k and 5k returns to its usual slot in January 2022 after last year's event being moved to the spring due to Covid. We can't welcome to see you all on the start line!

This popular New Year race is returning to the historic town of Oundle for it's fourth year and we couldn't be more excited. It is ideal for those new to running or anyone looking to get the New Year off to a flying start. The route follows a scenic and gently undulating course along wide, quiet country lanes in and around the pretty Northamptonshire villages that surround Oundle. It's quite a treat!

We will also be hosting a short Children's Race prior to the start of the main races which makes it the perfect event for a family outing!

There will be a high quality bespoke medal for all finishers - plus prizes for leading runners and age group winners.

We are incredibly grateful to Oundle Primary School for their assistance in staging this race.

Entry limit: 500

Entering the Event

Although covid restrictions have been largely lifted we have retained some of the protocols to try and ensure safety for runners and spectators.

If you have entered the race in good time, your race number will be sent to you in the post and a full set of race instructions will be sent to you prior to the event.

If you have entered the race close to the race date, you will need to collect your race number on the day of the event. If you proceed to the registration table, a race official will issue your race number.

Please remember to socially distance from the race official and anybody else who is collecting a number. Another race official will manage any queues to ensure everybody remains socially distanced.

There will be toilet facilities at the start / finish area and these will be sanitised regularly. Please play your part by washing your hands thoroughly and using hand sanitiser before and after use.

Hand sanitiser will be available – please use it regularly.

Please try to maintain social distancing at all times – before, during and after the race. When overtaking another runner please be mindful of the space available.

As all of our races are licensed by our governing body, UK Athletics, we will adhere to any Covid guidelines in place at the time of the race.
