The route follows a one-lap course around the urban and rural roads in and around Dartford. The roads will be closed to traffic, but on some of the rural parts of the course, runners should be vigilant and considerate of any horses and their riders that may be on the route.
St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Race HQ: Central Park Athletics, Cranford Road, Dartford, DA1 1JP
Directions By Rail
The nearest main line train station is Dartford, which is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from the Central Park Athletics track, through the town centre.
Directions By Car
At the south-bound Dartford Crossing, leave the M25 at Junction 2; take the A225 towards Dartford on Princes Road; straight across next roundabout (junction w/ Green Street, Green Road and Park Road), then down the hill on Princes Road. Turn right into Lowfield Street and follow the signs to Dartford Town Centre. Cranford road is second on the right.
Parking will be in Acacia Hall Car Park with access via Darenth Road. There is no parking at Dartford Harriers AC, nor in Central Park’s own public car park as this is part of the race route. However, you can use the nearby Dartford Council-operated public car parks (charges may apply at pay and display car parks – please read the notices carefully). Although there is some free parking in roads around Central Park, please note that our closest neighbours live in narrow roads with terraced houses, so many of the spaces are taken up by residents. Please park considerately and please do not park in the Fairfield Leisure car park.
