Location: Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest, Bedgebury Road, Goudhurst, Kent, TN17 2SJ Date: Friday 31st December 2021 Time: 10:00
We are expecting the Bedgebury 10 and 5 mile event to return in 2022. Forestry England are not yet in a position to confirm any dates in their locations until lockdown restrictions are fully lifted and they are happy for running events to resume. We are, though, hoping to return with our 10k race in the Spring, our half marathon in October and, hopefully, bringing our Summer 10k and 5k Series during the summer months. With a restricted season though, it is not likley that we will be able to stage the 10 and 5 mile races until next year now.
Once we have final permissions in place for the 10 and 5 mile race, we will then confirm the date and open up entries.
The details below are from the last 10 and 5 mile race staged but more details will be added to this page in due course, so please do come back and check – and look out for announcements on our social media pages.
Join us for the return of this sellout 10 Mile race using the undulating forest paths and trails in and around Bedgebury National Forest.
The event is open to runners of all abilities, from novices to experienced athletes and is perfect for spring marathon training.
And if 10 mile doesn't quite suit, why not try the 5 mile option?
There will be medals and finish line goodies on offer to all finishers.
Entry fee includes vehicle admission charges.
There are prizes on offer to leading men and ladies plus a variety of age category prizes and team prizes for both male and female (3 to score).
On Site Parking - Vehicle admission charge included in entry fee.
Baggage Drop Off
The Course The course uses an undulating route around the trails and paths within Bedgebury Forest. Starting and finishing within the Pinetum the route should be quiet with no vehicle traffic, although there will be other forest users and bicycles crossing the routes, so runners should be alert to other users.
First Aid St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep runner following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.
Your individual time and position will be recorded by our chip timing team. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre, but please allow time for manual processing. Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.
