The Martello Half Marathon

Join us for the return of this popular half marathon, after a Covid-enforced absence of a year. This scenic race is an off road half marathon, using the undulating paths and trails in and around the South Downs.

This is a long standing event which was originally designed as an event for runners, walkers, and cyclists - under its former guise as the Seaford Martello Triple Challenge. In 2019 it was decided to restrict the event to runners and re name it as the Martello Half Marathon. This has proved very successful and has helped increase participation numbers.

The event is open to runners of all abilities, from novices to experienced athletes and there will be medals on offer to all finishers.

The race is organised by Martello Rotary Club of Seaford to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and other Rotary charities.

First Aid
St John Ambulance or an alternative medical provider will be in attendance on the day and the course will be marshalled to provide assistance. There will also be a sweep marshal following the race to ensure that nobody is left behind and that all runners are accounted for.

Your individual time and position will be recorded by your electronic chip. We will endeavour to display results as they come into the race centre. Results will be uploaded to www.nice-work.org.uk as soon as possible after the race. All entrants that have supplied a valid and legible email address will receive a copy of the results as soon as possible after the race.
